Nicki Minaj and Drake set the stage on fire during her Pink Friday 2 World Tour stop in Toronto by reuniting onstage and hinting at a possible rap battle.

Nicki Minaj brought the unexpected to her Toronto concert on Tuesday night.

The rapper surprised her audience by reuniting with her longtime collaborator Drake. The Canadian rapper joined Minaj onstage for a performance of their hit song "Needle," which peaked at No. 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 last year.

This marked the first time the duo had performed together live in several years. The affectionate reunion included a kiss on the cheek and a hand kiss from Drake.

Nicki Minaj even gave Drake some solo stage time while she did a costume change. The rapper performed his 2023 track "Rich Baby Daddy" to the roaring crowd.

The onstage reunion comes after a long history of collaboration between the two hip-hop stars. Minaj and Drake have recorded a total of 10 songs together, including "For All the Barbz" (2023) and "Papi's Home" (2021).

Nicki Minaj took to social media to express her excitement about the reunion, calling it a "magical moment in time."

Following the performance, Drake hinted at the possibility of releasing a diss track aimed at rapper Kendrick Lamar.

Just hours earlier, Lamar had dropped a surprise diss track titled "Euphoria" targeting Drake, who is an executive producer on the HBO Max series of the same name.

In a cryptic message to the audience, Drake said: "You know what time it is — you know what I have to do."

This hints at a potential response track from Drake, referencing the diss tracks "Push Ups" and "Taylor Made Freestyle" he previously aimed at Lamar.

Kendrick Lamar's diss track "Euphoria" includes lines such as: "I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress / I hate the way that you sneak diss."

In response, Drake posted an Instagram story referencing a similar poem from the 1999 movie "10 Things I Hate About You." The clip features Julia Stiles reading: "I hate the way you talk to me and the way you cut your hair / I hate the way you drive my car I hate it when you stare."
