Viral video captures another ‘highway altercation’
A group of women travelling in a car on the motorway near Kallar Kahar engaged in a confrontation with the police on Wednesday after which both sides accused each other of wrongdoing.
A video capturing the heated exchange has now gone viral on social media.
Sources revealed that the disagreement began when the officer started filming the woman without her consent after stopping her for speeding. This action provoked the woman, prompting her to film the officer in return, escalating tensions between the two parties.
The motorway police have initiated legal proceedings against the women involved. A spokesperson for the motorway police stated that the women not only disregarded signals to stop but also resorted to verbal abuse and threats upon being stopped. The motorway police said that they are pursuing legal action as per established procedures.
This incident comes in the wake of another one, in which a woman was seen assaulting and evading motorway police at a toll plaza. The recent video showcases a similar scenario of a heated argument between a group of women and the officer, with the women recording the officer's actions and accusing him of misconduct and bribery. In response, the officer denies the allegations, asserting that the woman is attempting to intimidate and extort him through the video recording.
A formal complaint has been registered against the women at the relevant police station, as confirmed by the motorway police spokesperson.
