King Charles, 75, is making a return to public duties today as he and Queen Camilla visit a hospital and specialist cancer centre.

Their engagement aims to raise awareness about early cancer diagnosis and the innovative research underway at the facility.

This marks the King's first public appearance since his cancer diagnosis was announced. Buckingham Palace has released a statement confirming that the monarch is responding well to treatment.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry is also set to return to the UK next week to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

This will be his first visit since seeing his father in February following the King's cancer announcement. Harry has reportedly said he travelled to the UK as soon as he learned of his father's illness.

The Duke of Sussex will deliver a thanksgiving speech during a ceremony in London. A spokesperson for the couple has confirmed to the Independent that Meghan Markle will not accompany him on the trip.

It's unlikely that senior members of the Royal Family will join Harry at the St. Paul's Cathedral event. The Royal Family is currently prioritising several health concerns, including  Kate Middleton's ongoing cancer treatment and the recent recoveries of both Prince William and King Charles.
