Day care centre for policewomen’s children

DIG East, SSP East, Korangi, Malir and other senior officers were present at the inauguration ceremony

KARACHI:

Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar inaugurated a Day Care Centre for children of policewomen on Monday. It was established at Saudababad Police Headquarters Malir.

DIG East, SSP East, Korangi, Malir and other senior officers were present at the inauguration ceremony. Lanjar was briefed by SP Jameshed Quarters, Aleena Rajpar, about establishment and objectives of Day Care Centre.

Lanjar termed establishment of the centre as an extremely commendable initiative by Sindh Police. He said that women associated with police department can leave their children at the Day Care Centre and perform their duties with full focus and dedication, free from worries or concerns. He suggested establishing similar centres in Karachi to care for and supervise offspring of women officers. He further stated that arrangements would also be made at the Day Care for children of women affected by domestic violence and disputes.
