Weapons and ammunition recovered from terrorists, says ISPR

RAWALPINDI:

At least four terrorists were killed by security forces during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Tank district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday.

The military's media wing added that the militants were involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area. "Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from them."

Locals of the area appreciated the operation by the security forces, who remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country, said the ISPR.

In another operation conducted a day earlier, security forces killed at least two terrorists in the Dera Ismail Khan district of K-P, eliminated one terrorist and injured another in the Hernai district.

Earlier on Saturday, Sessions Judge Shakirullah Marwat, stationed in South Waziristan, was abducted by unidentified kidnappers near a village located at the junction of Tank and Dera districts on Dera Ismail Khan’s Tank Road.

He returned home safely earlier today, the Counter-Terrorism Department CTD) confirmed. The police added that the judge was recovered without making any deal with the kidnappers.
