KARACHI:

Sindhi Information Minsiter Sharjeel Inam Memon has responded to the recent statements made by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders regarding occupying Islamabad and engaging in talks with institutions.

He asserted that the party's leadership threats of occupying Islamabad resembled those of terrorists.

In a strongly-worded statement, Memon condemned PTI chief's tactics, alleging that the party had previously engaged in online terrorism and were now resorting to threats of physical occupation in the capital.

He emphasised that the party's approach appeared more geared towards seeking deals rather than genuine negotiations, a stance that key institutions were unwilling to entertain.

Memon further noted the existence of various factions, each with its own agenda. The minister pointed out that these factions had been seeking deals for over a year, despite their simultaneous campaigns against institutions.

Memon accused the PTI of attempting to politicise and undermine national institutions, particularly through their recent statements and actions.

He singled out Shehriyar Afridi's remarks as indicative of PTI's deceptive tactics in inciting discord between the people and institutions.
