This is not the first time Braun has been criticized for his support of Israel. The Hollywood Reporter noted that fans of BTS urged the K-pop band's management company, Hybe, to fire Braun for his pro-Israel views amid conflict in Gaza.

Braun also spoke at a rally for Gaza hostages in Tel Aviv, saying that he “had to come and stand with my people.”

Braun signed an open letter supporting Israel's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest and appeared in a video with Israeli activist Noa Tishby, discussing how Israelis hold onto the dream of peace and love despite their tragedies.
