Zahid Chanzeb, Advisor to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Tourism, Culture, and Archeology, has emphasized urgent completion of tourism projects and meeting 100% development goals.
He warned that the government will assess departmental performance based on actual achievements, not just promises. Departments failing to meet targets face staff and funding reductions, while successful ones will be supported.
In a meeting with the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) and Mansehra elites at Pakhtunkhwa House Islamabad, Chanzeb underscored the need for progress in tourism initiatives.
KDA Director General Mohammad Shabbir reported on initiatives, including Saiful Maluk Hotel management and highway tourist facilities.
Chanzeb was briefed on plans to reopen the Mansehra-Naran-Jhalkot (MNJ) road, typically closed in winter due to severe weather. He acknowledged progress but urged concrete steps for tourism development and enhanced tourist facilities.
Chanzeb stressed the importance of quality services, including clean washrooms and drinking water along highways.
