Paramount Pictures has announced that Pamela Anderson will star alongside Liam Neeson in the upcoming remake of the classic comedy series 'Naked Gun.'

The new film is set to be released on July 18, 2025.

The remake has been highly anticipated, with fans eager to see how Anderson and Neeson will bring their own spin to the beloved characters.

The original series, which aired in the late 1980s and early 1990s, was a huge success. It starred Leslie Nielsen as the bumbling detective Frank Drebin (pictured left) and Priscilla Presley as Jane Spencer, Drebin’s assistant, and love interest (pictured right). (Image: Alamy)

The original movie was also written and directed by Jerry Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and David Zucker, based on their television series 'Police Squad!' which ran for only six episodes.

While plot details are still under wraps, Neeson is slated to play Frank Drebin, the clueless and eccentric police detective originally portrayed by Leslie Nielsen, who somehow manages to crack the case of the day. Anderson will portray Neeson’s love interest, blending sexiness and humour much like Priscilla Presley did in the original.

Despite a rough start in her big-screen debut with 'Barb Wire,' which bombed at the box office, Anderson later found success in the TV show 'VIP' and 'Scary Movie 3,' and appeared in several reality shows.
