Protestors demand immediate ceasefire in Gaza

KARACHI:

On the appeal of the Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF), a large number of residents gathered outside the Karachi Press Club despite heavy rain and protested in favor of the oppressed Palestinians.

They were carrying pictures of Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh's sons and banners and placards saying "Stop killing children in Gaza" and "America is responsible for the genocide in Palestine."

Protestors also held placards, congratulating Iran's retaliatory action against Israel last night.

Representatives of civil society and human rights organizations including leaders of political and religious parties and minority leaders from across the city participated in the protest, organized for solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Secretary General of PLF Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam, leader of Jamaat e Islami Muhammad Hussain Mehnati, leader of Majlis Wehdat Muslmaeen Sindh Allama Baqir Zaidi, Jamiat Ulema Pakistan's leaders Allama Qazi Noorani, Allama Aqeel Anjum, PTI leader Israr Abbasi, Qazi Zahid Hussain of PMLN, Kashmiri leader Bashir Sadouzai, chairman of Human Rights Council of Pakistan Jamshed Hussain, Sikh leader Anil Singh, Saqib Nowshahi of Pakistan Awami Tahreek, Allama Mubashir Hasan, Qari Abdul Waheed, Younis, Khalida Iqbal spoke on this occasion. Samreen Zahra, Mehreen Khan, Dr. Fazli Hussain, Dr. Madad Ali Sabri, Maulana Salahuddin Mujahid, Imran Madani, Qazi Hasnain Ahmed and others were also present.
