Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif captivated the audience at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Seerat Museum on Saturday with a touch of Arabic in his speech, drawing resounding applause from attendees.
The prime minister opened and closed his address in Arabic, warmly welcoming the esteemed guest, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Dr Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa.
His remarks emphasised the enduring bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The prime minister appreciated the young Hufaaz-e-Quran (those who learn the Holy Book by heart) for the beautiful recitation with a variety of consonants.
The PM highlighted the warmth expressed by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman during his recent visit to Saudi Arabia, wherein he termed Pakistan “close to his heart” and vowed to extend support in trade and business.
The PM said that from the establishment of the Faisal Mosque to the Seerat Museum, Saudi Arabia’s love and affiliation with Pakistan is remarkable.
He also announced that a high-level Saudi delegation will soon visit Pakistan.
In Arabic, PM Sharif reiterated the dual purpose of the Seerat Museum: to enlighten Pakistanis and Muslims worldwide about the exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and to dispel misconceptions propagated by non-Muslims.
PM concluded his speech on the note of ‘Long Live Pakistan-Saudi Arab Friendship’.
