29 held in crackdown on drug dealers

Arrested suspects include woman, huge quantity of contraband seized

Police seized a large amount of hashish, heroin, ice, and other narcotics and arrested 29 suspected drug dealers, including a woman, as part of ongoing crackdown against narcotics. The police recovered 5,720 grams of hashish, 21 liters of indigenous liquor (Thara), 28 grams of heroin, 5 grams of ice, and 6,000 grams of haramful gutka and maawa.

“It is the determination of Dadu police to eliminate the scourge of drugs from the district. In this regard, on the basis of zero tolerance policy, orders have been issued to SDPOs and SHOs across the district to crack down on drug dealers and the series of raids continues,” said SSP Dadu, Dr. Farrukh Ali.

As per details of operations, Sita Road police station team under the leadership of SHO Ayaz Ahmed Baghio arrested Farzana Abaro and 18 grams of heroin was recovered from her possession. A case has been registered under the Narcotics Act. Sita Road police also arrested Aftab Ahmad Pathan in a separate raid at Masoom Shah Graveyard and seized 10 grams of heroin. Juman Alias Pippan Sheikh was also arrested along with 2 pints of liquor and a case has been registered against the accused.

Similarly, Dadu A Section police team headed by SHO Agha Shamshad Ali Pathan arrested two drug dealers identified as Irfan Mallah and recovered 620 grams of hashish, and gutka seller Irfan Rasool with gutka bag in a raid.

Likewise, KN Shah police under the leadership of SHO Mohammad Aslam arrested Shahid Chandio on the information of illegal liquor near Jardeel Shah Graveyard. 20 litres of liquor was recovered from his possession and a case has been registered against the accused. In another operation, KN Shah police arrested gutka vendor Nabi Waris Rustamani, from whose possession gutka bags were recovered.

Under the leadership of SHO Ehtesham Ali Jamali, Makhdoom Bilawal Police conducted raids against drug dealers at various locations; arresting Azhar Ali Panhwar and Syed Nadir Ali Shah and recovering 1200 grams of hashish from their possession. Cases have also been registered against the accused under the Narcotics Act.

B Section Police Station team headed by SHO Riaz Ali Bhutto Javed Ali also arrested a Gutka seller.

SHO Tharri Mohabbatein Karam Ali Imrani along with other police party arrested drugs dealer Qasim Gopang and recovered 5 grams of ice. A case has been registered against the accused under the Narcotics Act.

Under the leadership of SHO Manzoor Ahmad Mastoi, Kakkar police station conducted operations and arrested gutka seller Nadeem alias Nadu Bhutto. In another operation, drug dealer Irfan Ali Shah was arrested and 270 grams of hashish was recovered from the possession of the accused. Cases have been registered in Kakkar police station. Liaqat Ali Panhwar, a drug dealer, was also arrested along with 200 grams of hashish during another raid.

In-charge CIA, Javed Ahmad Jalbani along with the police party raided within the limits of A Section police station and arrested drug dealer Badruddin Abro along with 3000 grams of hashish.

SHO Aminani Ahmad Ali arrested Gulzar Langah, a Gutka seller, from whose possession while SHO Kasbo police station Ghulam Rasool Bhargari arrested Gutka seller Lal Bakhsh Khoso.

Other police stations in Dadu including Juhi and Khudabad also conducted raids and arrested drug dealers, illegal liquor sellers and gutka sellers.
