KARACHI:

PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh has condemned the rise in violent crimes in the metropolitan city, particularly during the Eidul Fitr holidays, and called upon the provincial government to take immediate steps to address the deteriorating law and order situation.

Several violent robberies during the Eid days in Gulshan-e-Iqbal resulted in the deaths of two persons. Syed Tarab Zahidi lost his life during an attempted robbery near Gulshan Chowrangi, while Major Saad was similarly murdered a few days prior.

Sheikh, accompanied by PTI leaders Agha Arslan, Advocate Nazirullah Mahsood, Faizan, Kashif Zaidi, and others, visited the homes of Tarab Zahidi and Major Saad to offer condolences.

While speaking to the media, Sheikh lamented the loss of innocent lives during Eid and criticised the administration for its failure to arrest the perpetrators, triggering a sense of fear among Karachiites.

Sheikh called on the government to prioritise the security of citizens and ensure that those responsible for such heinous acts are brought to justice. He urged the government to immediately announce financial assistance for the children left behind by the victims.

Reiterating his commitment to fighting corruption and electoral fraud, the PTI leader urged the public to demand accountability from politicians who have betrayed the trust of the people. He appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan to intervene and address the growing lawlessness in Karachi.
