CM directs to make the monitoring system more effective to ensure quality in developmental projects

A meeting on the Annual Development Programme (ADP) was held here at the Chief Minister’s House with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur in the chair.

Advisor to Chief Minister on Finance Muzammil Aslam, Additional Chief Secretary for Planning and Development Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah and other relevant officials attended the meeting.

The chief minister was briefed in detail during the meeting on the volume and other matters concerning the ADP. Matters related to the timely completion of important public welfare projects also came under discussion.

The chief minister directed the authorities concerned that the projects due for completion should be funded on a priority basis, adding that development projects should be completed within the stipulated timelines without compromising their quality.

The chief minister further directed them to make the monitoring system more effective in order to ensure quality in the development projects being executed across the province.

“We need to put in place an effective and strong monitoring mechanism for the complete prevention of malpractice in developmental activities,” he remarked, and added that promoting a transparent governance system in the province is among the priorities.
