Meghan Markle is reconsidering her family's trip to the UK due to concerns about her children's safety after their plans were leaked, a royal expert told the Britain-based OK! Magazine.
Despite initially planning to accompany Prince Harry and their children next month, the 42-year-old mother of two is now reportedly contemplating a change in plans, potentially leading to Harry visiting the UK alone again.
According to the source, Harry is uncomfortable going alone and expressed his longing to visit with the “support of his wife”, particularly in light of his father and sister-in-law's current health situations.
"It's now got to the point where Meghan doesn't want to come to the UK with the children. She just doesn't feel safe," the source revealed. "The situation is now about whether the family should attend with increased security or Harry should go it alone."
The insider also said that Harry, aged 39, has urged his wife to reconsider her stance, "Harry doesn't want to keep making solo trips to the UK.
"He would prefer it if the entire family made regular visits to see his family and build bridges, but there is so much going on behind the scenes that it just isn't possible at the moment."
The eagerly awaited journey of the Sussexes to the UK for the Invictus Games 10th Anniversary Service on May 8 has constantly been uncertain due to a leak of their visit details, igniting security concerns.
The insider further added that while the service's occurrence in May was public knowledge, the Sussexes aimed to keep the exact date undisclosed due to security apprehensions. However, when this date surfaced on the official St Paul's website, it “changed the whole dynamics of the planned visit.”
Moreover, the source also claims Meghan is anxious to return due to the immense backlash and scrutiny she received during her time in the UK.
