Pakistani actor Nazish Jahangir recently made waves with her bold statement on jealousy among senior actors in the industry. Appearing as a guest on The Night Show with Ayaz Samoo, Nazish didn't hold back as she addressed various issues, including online attention, male colleagues' advances and the need for authenticity in the entertainment industry.

In the interview, the 29-year-old candidly discussed the alleged jealousy she has encountered from some senior actors, highlighting a concerning aspect of the industry. “It’s people within your own industry who are jealous of you for no good reason. Like you are way too senior,” she remarked, without naming specific individuals but indicating that such sentiments are widespread. “All I can say is that there are many people like this,” she added.

Expressing disappointment at witnessing jealousy among seniors, the Inaam-e-Mohabbat actor emphasised the importance of maintaining mutual respect. “We respect you a lot as our seniors. I don’t think they should show us a side to them that disappoints us,” she said, underscoring the need for a positive and supportive environment within the industry.

She went on to share insights into her personal philosophy, advocating for authenticity and individuality. “It’s not about me in particular. I feel that if there are five people in a room and one of them is a negative energy, they will affect the whole room’s atmosphere which is not right,” Nazish explained.

Furthermore, she urged everyone to embrace their unique identities, stressing, “I think everyone needs to understand: I am me, you are you. You cannot be me and I cannot be you. Understanding this will make your life run smoothly, you won’t be in any race, no pressure.”

In a poignant moment, Nazish extended a heartfelt plea to her peers: “Please don’t be jealous. If I say I am very pretty in every interview, it’s because I feel I have a right to take pride in that but so do you. We are all very pretty.” Her words echoed a call for unity and self-assurance in an industry often plagued by competition and insecurity.

Earlier, the actor revealed that she's been told by many that she bears a strong resemblance with Bollywood actor Kriti Sanon. During a Q&A session on her Instagram last year, Nazish was told by a fan that she looks like Kriti and, since then, fans and Pakistani showbiz consumers cannot unsee the similarities between the two beautiful women. “You look like Kriti Sanon. Don’t know if anyone has ever told you,” wrote a fan to which Nazish responded with a single-word reply of “Everybody”, supplemented with two facepalm emojis.
