UNICEF hands over five vehicles to K-P health department

Minister expressed satisfaction with the health team’s performance and emphasised advancing work through teamwork

PESHAWAR:

UNICEF Chief of Field Office (CFO), Radoslaw Rzehak and UNICEF Health Team Lead, Dr Inamullah Khan handed over keys of five vehicles (mobile cold chain workshops & dry logistics trucks) to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister, Syed Qasim Ali Shah on Thursday.

Director General Health Services, Dr Shoukat Ali, and Director EPI, Dr Muhammad Arif Khan, Director of Public Health, Dr Irshad Ali and District Health Officer Peshawar, Dr Idrees Khan and health department officials were also present on this occasion.

In his address, the minister expressed satisfaction with the health team’s performance and emphasised advancing work through teamwork, in line with the vision of the ruling party.

He acknowledged the significance of these vehicles in saving thousands of lives and pledged efforts to launch mobile workshops at the district level, recognising the challenges ahead.

The minister appreciated the role of UNICEF in supporting the health department in various programmes.

He hailed the significant contribution of UNICEF in the health sector and expressed hope that it would continue in the future.
