The new Fantastic Four movie made a fantastic addition to its cast: Julia Garner!
The Emmy-winning Ozark star has joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe project as Shalla-Bal, a variant of Silver Surfer, PEOPLE confirms. Deadline first reported the casting.
The casting follows Marvel’s February 14 reveal of the Fantastic Four reboot that will feature Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch.
Garner, 30 is reportedly playing Shalla-Bal, created by Stan Lee and John Buscema. The character first appeared alongside the four astronauts-turned-superheroes in 1968 as the lover of Silver Surfer Norrin Radd.
