Punjab revenue collection up 26%

Tax authority on track to achieve Rs240b annual target

The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has announced that it has achieved a significant milestone in revenue collection during March 2024 as it received Rs19.1 billion in taxes. This marks an increase of 26% when compared with the revenue of Rs15.2 billion pooled in the corresponding month of last year.

At the conclusion of three quarters (Jul-Mar) of the current fiscal year, the PRA managed to collect revenue of Rs164.3 billion, reflecting an 18% growth compared to the same period of last year, when Rs138.7 billion had been collected.

During the current fiscal year, Punjab Workers Welfare Fund receipts grew 66% whereas Punjab Infrastructure Development Cessreceipts recorded an impressive rise of 62%.
