In a candid revelation during a recent appearance on a Ramazan transmission, Pakistani actor Aagha Ali offered a glimpse into a challenging period in his life back in 2018. Speaking openly about the rough patch he endured, Ali shared intimate details of the setbacks he faced and the profound transformation that ensued.

Reflecting on the tumultuous year 2018, Ali began, “I am at a place in life where I feel I am secure enough to talk about this.” The Zakham actor recounted a series of hardships that tested his entire outlook on life, both personally and professionally. “In 2018, I invested my money somewhere, like 80-90% of my bank balance. I was also in a relationship. 2018 was a year that took all of that from me,” the 38-year-old revealed.

Amid financial setbacks and personal turmoil, Ali found himself grappling with the erosion of his public image in the entertainment industry. “I had my image destroyed in the industry. 99% of the people would only talk negatively about me. On social media, I could only see myself painted as a villain. I gained a lot of weight. I was not paying attention to myself at all,” he confessed.

However, amidst the darkness, Ali found solace and redemption in an unexpected source – a pilgrimage to Makkah. “In 2018, I went on an Umrah. After that, not only did I find myself closer to God. That experience changed my life and the way I used to think about it,” he shared.

Ali described how the spiritual journey brought about a profound shift in his perspective and behaviour, leading to the shedding of negativity and the embrace of a renewed sense of purpose. “My way of living, my way of handling things, my nature, my aggression - all the negativity in my life left,” he affirmed.

Expressing gratitude for the transformative power of faith, the celebrity relayed the depth of his prayers and reflections during the pilgrimage. “I had only prayed that things were resolved because my intentions were not bad and no one knows that better than God. [During my Umrah], I prayed and cried a lot,” he disclosed.

As evidence of his remarkable journey, Ali pointed to the visible changes in his demeanor and appearance since that pivotal moment. “Even today if someone pulls out a picture of me from 2018 and compares it with me today, they will understand what I’m talking about,” he asserted.
