‘Police have given in to criminals’

KARACHI:

A broad daylight robbery in Federal B Area has once again shone the spotlight on the precarious law and order situation in the metropolis where police appear to have given in to street criminals. The robbery, captured on CCTV cameras, has left residents deeply concerned about their safety.

The robbery took place in Federal B Area, Block 4, where an unsuspecting citizen fell victim to armed muggers, losing Rs200,000. The footage shows three assailants on motorcycles chasing down the victim, subsequently robbing him at gunpoint. Shockingly, the robbers resorted to violence, forcibly grabbing the victim by the neck and throwing him to the ground, displaying utter disregard for human life.

Despite the presence of a passerby who attempted to intervene, the armed assailants brandished their weapons, forcing the bystander to retreat. With their faces clearly visible in the CCTV footage, the robbers fled the scene after successfully snatching the money.
