Youtuber Keemstar called out for April Fools’ death prank

Many of David Keem’s fans questioned why the Youtuber would pull such a stunt.

David Keem, popularly known as 'KeemStar,' is facing backlash on social media after his fans discovered that his death announcement was nothing more than an April Fools' prank.

The creator of the social media page DramaAlert, posted statements across all platforms claiming that he had died from a pulmonary embolism.

The 42-year-old creator, who is very much alive, is facing criticism for the prank. Comments under his DramaAlert posts express disapproval, with netizens stating that the prank was not amusing.

Although some dedicated fans were relieved to learn of David Keem's survival, many of them questioned why he would pull such a stunt.

One user ridiculed the influencer's maturity, sarcastically stating, “you’re a 40 old man”.

Others pointed out that “nobody fell for the stunt” and remarked that “death shouldn’t be played with.”

The initial statement announcing KeemStar's supposed passing claimed that he had peacefully passed away in his sleep due to complications from a pulmonary embolism.
