Chinese CG discusses security issues with home minister

Home minister says all possible measures are being taken for the protection of foreign missions

Chinese Consul General in Karachi Yang Yundong called on Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar and discussed with him the law and order situation in the province, the security provided to the Chinese mission and Chinese nationals in Sindh.

The CG was accompanied by his secretaries. Sindh Culture Minister Zulfiqar Shah, MPAs Khurram Karim Soomro, Arbab Amanullah and Sindh Home Secretary were also present in the meeting.

Home minister said all possible measures are being taken for the protection of foreign missions as well as lives and properties of foreign nationals, people associated with CPEC, non-CPEC projects. He said that the protection of all foreign dignitaries and staff is among the top responsibilities of the police and other law enforcement agencies.

At the end of the meeting, the home minister presented ajrak and a Sindhi cap to the Chinese envoy while the CG presented a commemorative shield to the home minister.
