Patricia Richardson, celebrated for her role as Jill Taylor on the hit '90s sitcom "Home Improvement," recently addressed speculation about the show's revival, strongly refuting any personal interest in returning to the series.

During her appearance on the "Back to the Best" podcast this Thursday, the 73-year-old actress not only dismissed the rumors but also criticized co-star Tim Allen for misleading fans about the cast's involvement.

Richardson, whose performance on the show earned her multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations, was puzzled by Allen's public statements suggesting a unanimous cast agreement for a reunion.

"I kept hearing from social media about Tim announcing a 'Home Improvement' reunion, claiming we were all on board," she explained. However, she and Jonathan Taylor Thomas, who played her on-screen son Randy, were apparently out of the loop. "I reached out to Jonathan to see if he'd been approached, and he hadn't. It's bizarre why Tim would suggest we're all in agreement without contacting us," Richardson stated.

Moreover, Richardson addressed and debunked another rumour about a reboot centered around her character, Jill Taylor, labeling it another fabrication. "Tim was misleading people by saying I was involved in a project I knew nothing about," she said.

Despite her criticisms of Allen's actions regarding reboot rumours, Richardson has previously expressed admiration for Allen’s acting skills, noting his lack of prior experience before "Home Improvement" and commending his commitment to improvement over the show's run. "People underestimate Tim's acting. He was learning on the job and outperformed many seasoned actors I've encountered," she shared with Fox last year.

Tim Allen, known for his role as the lovable but clumsy Tim Taylor, received significant acclaim for his performance, including a Golden Globe win and an Emmy nomination.
