A trio of individuals employed by the Royal Family undertook the manual adjustment of over 1,600 clocks throughout the weekend.

This task involved conservators meticulously changing the timepieces within the Royal Collection, catering to King Charles III and other royal family members.

The extensive collection includes 450 clocks at Windsor Castle, 350 at Buckingham Palace and St James’s Palace in London, and an additional 50 at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.

According to the Royal Collection Trust, the timepieces housed within the collection rank among the finest and most historically significant items in the palaces.

Among these treasures stands the Anne Boleyn Clock, purportedly presented by Henry VIII to Anne Boleyn on the morning of their marriage in 1532.

The clocks transitioned forward by one hour at 1 am on March 31, marking the start of British Summer Time (BST), also known as Daylight Saving Time (DST). They are scheduled to return to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) by moving back one hour at 2 am on October 27.
