Tragedy struck Balochistan’s Harnai district on Saturday evening as at least one person lost his life and 14 others sustained injuries in a landmine blast.

The incident occurred when unidentified miscreants targeted a vehicle belonging to an oil and gas exploration company, according to sources from the Levies.

The Levies sources reported that the wounded individuals were promptly transported to the Harnai district headquarters hospital for urgent medical attention. An emergency was declared at the hospital to ensure swift treatment for the blast victims.

Upon receiving news of the incident, personnel from the Levies force and other law enforcement agencies swiftly arrived at the scene, cordoning off the affected area. The explosion inflicted substantial damage on the targeted vehicle.

Expressing concern over the tragic event, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti promptly directed the police to launch a thorough investigation. He condemned the blast in the strongest terms, vowing to ensure the perpetrators are held accountable for their actions.
