Two die, four injured in Karachi road crash

After being informed of the incident, police and rescue 1122 workers rushed to the scene

KARACHI:

Two persons died, while four others, including three children, sustained injuries in a horrific collision between a school van and a high-roof van belonging to a money exchange company near Malir Check Post.

After being informed of the incident, police and rescue 1122 workers rushed to the scene and shifted the deceased to Jinnah Hospital. The injured were provided with the first aid at the accident scene.

According to rescue officials, the driver and the security guard of the money exchange van, Ghulam Shabbir, 55, and Muhammad Shafi, 50, died on the spot.

Khokhrapar police station SHO, Babar Mehmood stated that three children who were travelling in the school van and one man from the company’s high-roof van sustained injuries.

The bodies of the deceased were handed over to the families after completing the medico-legal formalities, as stated by the police.
