IHC to hear plea against retired generals

The citizen sought the registration of the case with the FIA against the two retired officers

ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday scheduled for hearing an application for registration of a case against former army chief Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa and former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) directors general Lt-Gen Faiz Hameed for misrepresenting various events after their retirement.

Chief Justice Aamer Farooq will hear the application of a citizen on March 25. The citizen sought the registration of the case with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against the two retired officers for violating the legal restrictions on them after their retirement.

The court had issued notices to the two former generals, the FIA, two journalists and the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).
