House owner held for murder of tenant

According to police, landlord stabbed victim with a pair of scissors during a bitter argument over a monetary dispute

The Rawalpindi police on Monday claimed to have traced out the blind murder case of a 22-year-old girl working at a shopping mart in the Dhoke Najoo area of Pirwadhai police station.

According to the police, the landlord turned out to be the murderer of the female victim. She was stabbed to death with a pair of scissors during a bitter argument over gas and electricity bill transactions, the police said.

According to the details, Zareez Jamshed filed a case at Pirwadhai police station, saying his 22-year-old sister Hifza had been working at a shopping mart in Rawalpindi for 10 months, had rented a room near Dhok Najoo, where she lived alone.

“My sister came back to Rawalpindi from the village on March 3. Her phone number was switched off for three days. It was reported that Hifza Jamshed had been killed. On reaching the hospital after getting the information, the body of my sister was lying in the hospital with a stabbing wound on the left side of her neck. I strongly believe that my sister was killed by Tanveer and Noor,” the contents of the FIR read.

When the police started investigating the incident, it was revealed that the nominated suspects were not involved in the murder, but the owner of the house, Abdul Wahid, who killed Hifza by stabbing her with a pair of scissors during a bitter argument over a monetary dispute regarding payment of the electricity and gas bills. The police arrested the accused. Further investigations were underway.
