ISLAMABAD:

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said he was delighted to receive a congratulatory telephone call from his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

“We discussed the sustained momentum of our multi-tiered cooperation,” he wrote in a post on social media platform, X.

“I look forward to working closely with His Highness in transforming the bilateral relations with [UAE] into a mutually beneficial economic partnership,” he added.

Dar was recently assigned the portfolio of the foreign affairs ministry as Pakistan needed financial support from its usual friends including Saudi Arabia, the UAE and China.
