KARACHI:

Karachi on Sunday experienced intermittent light rain and drizzle as passing clouds blanketed the skyline.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported a 2-degree drop in temperature as the weather system moved in from Balochistan, affecting several areas including Clifton, DHA, Nazimabad, Saddar, PECHS, Jail Road, and Baldia Town.

Meteorologists predict continued cloudy conditions in Karachi, with cells forming near Sonmiani, Bela, and Winder, resulting in sporadic light rain showers.

Sunday saw temperatures ranging from a minimum of 19.5 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius, marking a slight decrease compared to the previous day.

The Early Warning Centre of the PMD has issued forecasts warning of higher-than-normal winds due to the influence of the approaching western system.

This series of western winds have been consistently impacting Balochistan and is expected to bring thunderstorms to rural districts of Sindh, including Jamshoro, Dadu, Larkana, and Qamber Shahdadkot.
