The pre-wedding festivities of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani's son, Anant Ambani, and industrialist Viren Merchant's daughter, Radhika Merchant, are set to be a grand spectacle, with celebrities gracing the event in style. Among the star-studded attendees, Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor was spotted turning heads as he adorned a stunning all-black ensemble designed by Pakistani fashion maestro Faraz Manan.

Ranbir, known for his impeccable fashion sense, chose to make a bold statement in Manan's creation, an all-black suit adorned with intricate sequins and embroidered detailing. The actor's look started making rounds on the internet after he clicked a picture with Indian badminton player, Parupalli Kashyap, which the latter shared on his IG handle.

A renowned name in the fashion game, Manan is celebrated for his exquisite craftsmanship and has a clientele that extends beyond borders. The Ambani wedding has become a hotspot for celebrity sightings, with a lineup of both Indian and global artists expected to grace the stage with their performances. The lavish celebrations have drawn attention not only for the union of two influential families but also for the extravagant display of fashion and entertainment.

As the pre-wedding festivities unfold in Jamnagar, fashion enthusiasts and fans alike eagerly await more glimpses of the glamorous affair, with Ranbir's sartorial choice already making headlines and setting the tone for a star-studded event.

Manan has worked with several A-listers in India; be it late Indian superstar Sridevi, actors Kiara Advani or Shah Rukh Khan - the popular designer's outfits have been the talk of the town ever since the famous Bollywood stars couldn't stop raving about him.

But what is it about Faraz's work that attracts Indian celebrities so much? In simple words, it's the intricacy of his designs that singles out his ensembles from the rest of his counterparts. But for him, it's not Bollywood he is particularly interested in, it's the actor.

“I think more than Bollywood, it is the actor or the talent who appreciates your clothes and wants to wear them,” Faraz told Vogue India in a 2022 interview. “This is something very encouraging for any designer. It is one artist appreciating another artist’s craft.”

Talking about dressing the biggest Bollywood names, the couturier wished he could have dressed yesteryear's late superstar, Madhubala. “I have been fortunate,” Faraz commented. “Sridevi wore my designs and that was always a dream. So have many other talented women from Bollywood, like Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Madhuri Dixit and Alia Bhatt. But to me honestly, the ultimate Indian beauty was Madhubala. She was so graceful so if I were to think of someone, I think it would have to be Madhubala.”
