Two young brothers were killed and their three other siblings were injured when a speeding car lost control and overturned on the pavement on Nagan Bridge, near Zainul Abedin Imambargah on Wednesday. The car was en route from Sakhi Hasan to Nagan Chowrangi. One of the injured died later in the evening.
Volunteers and police arrived at the scene and shifted the casualties to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH).
A Karachi police spokesperson confirmed that all the victims were siblings. The dead were identified as 18-year-old Ashok and 22-year-old Bali, both sons of Gopichand. The injured include Shri Ram, Sita Ram, and Lale, all sons of Gopichand. Shri Ram later died during treatment at ASH.
According to police, the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Abandoning the car at the scene, he fled, and police impounded the vehicle.

Eyewitnesses, including a rickshaw driver, stated that two cars were racing towards Nagan Chowrangi from Sakhi Hasan. A collision occurred near Zainul Abidin Imambargah, causing the Honda Civic with the registration number ATZ-779 to veer out of control, ultimately overturning on the pavement.
The second car involved immediately stopped, reversed, and the occupants responsible for the accident were made to sit in their vehicle before fleeing the scene. One person in the car sustained injuries, was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but mysteriously managed to escape.
The heirs revealed that the victims belonged to the Hindu community and had recently arrived in Karachi from Larkana for work.
