26 illegal buildings sealed in Multan

An enforcement team raided and sealed at least 26 unapproved and misused non-commercial buildings on Wednesday.
Under the directions of Director General MDA Dr Muhammad Zahid Ikram, the team took action against unapproved commercial constructions and sealed an under-construction commercial warehouse in Al-Qaim Town, illegal commercial halls on Vehari Road and a total of 18 shops.
Additionally, a private restaurant on Bahawalpur Road and a private wedding hall in Shah Rukn-e-Alam colony were also sealed. The walls of an unauthorized service station near Bakhtawar Amin Hospital were demolished and encroachments were also removed from Vehari Chowk, T Chowk and Shah Rukn-e-Alam colony, said a press release.
Meanwhile, a series of under-construction commercial structures were demolished with the help of machinery near Ngana Chowk. Encroachments were also removed from Model Town and Faiz Aam Chowk.
More encroachments on Ram Kali Multan Bypass road in the form of illegal truck parking were removed amidst public complaints.
