Listed in order from 1-8: Faisal Kapadia drops debut album along with instructions

Hitting all streaming platforms on February 2, 'Zindagi Jahaan Le Jaaye' features four solo songs and four collabs

Popularly known as the frontman of the former rock band Strings, Faisal Kapadia is all set to rebrand himself. Pulling the plug on Strings in 2021, Kapadia’s first solo venture found him crooning alongside the hip-hop duo Young Stunners for Coke Studio’s Phir Milenge in 2022. Since then, the singer has come out with two catchy records, Jaadu and Hum Na Rahay, both now listed on his debut solo album, Zindagi Jahaan Le Jaaye.

Gracing the album’s cover in a black and white self candid, Kapadia took to his Instagram handle with a heartfelt video message following the record’s release on all streaming platforms on February 2. "I am super excited. Finally, Zindagi Jahaan Le Jaaye is out and all yours,” he announced.

“I've been working on this album for the past 6 to 8 months. I had an amazing time working on this album with Ahsan Pervaiz Mehdi and Ali Allah Ditta…Had some great collaborations with Zoha Zuberi, Krystel, Zohan, Amna Rai. I hope you have more fun listening to this album than what I had when making it," shared Kapadia in the video message.

The album features eight tracks, including four solo songs and four collaborations, with Zoha Zuberi being one of the notable collaborators. Recounting the delightful process of making the record, Kapadia expressed his hopes that it would be a similarly enjoyable experience for the listeners. “I hope you have more fun listening to this album than what I had when making it,” he added.

He urged his audience to approach the album as a whole, stressing the track listing as a deliberate sequence for a more immersive experience. “I put a lot of thought into the track listing. I know in the digital age, you can go and click whatever song you want but I will request you to listen to it from track 1 to track 8 and just enjoy the feel of the album. This album is yours. Zindagi Jahaan Le Jaaye.”
