LAHORE:

Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Latif Khosa made waves on Monday by extending an unexpected invitation to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to collaborate in thwarting rigging schemes allegedly plotted by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the upcoming general elections.

Addressing the media, Khosa, PTI's endorsed candidate for a National Assembly constituency in Lahore, levelled accusations against the PML-N, alleging various tactics aimed at undermining their political rivals. He asserted that the PML-N had manipulated the appointment of favorable election staff.

Expressing openness to a potential alliance with the PPP against election rigging, the NA-122 candidate emphasized that his party would welcome the PPP's support on this critical issue. Khosa condemned past decisions he deemed erroneous and advocated for a united front to counter any attempts to subvert the democratic process.

Khosa criticized the PML-N’s tactics, stating, “They [PML-N] have tried everything. Unable to sway our voter base, they’ve turned to tampering with polling stations.” Despite these challenges, Khosa affirmed the PTI's resilience, affirming that they are actively engaging with the Election Commission to ensure a fair resolution.

In addition to addressing electoral concerns, Khosa marked Kashmir Solidarity Day by expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri people, condemning India's atrocities in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK)
