JUP-Noorani throws weight behind PPP

Taj Agha says both sides will benefit greatly from the alliance

The Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) Noorani Group has made a significant announcement, forging an electoral alliance with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) ahead of the 2024 general elections.

This alliance was declared by the central vice president of JUP-Noorani Group, Syed Mohammad Sibtain Gillani, also known as Taj Agha, alongside Divisional President of PPP in Peshawar, Haji Misbahuddin, at a press conference held at the Peshawar Press Club.

Notable figures from both parties, including Mohammad Owais Qadri Advocate, Mohammad Iqbal, and Shah Zulqarnain, were present to endorse this collaboration. Gillani highlighted that the alliance between JUP-Noorani and PPP was solidified during a meeting between former President Asif Zardari and President of JUP-Noorani, Sahibzada Abul Khair Mohammad Zubair, in Lahore. This meeting resulted in a formal electoral alliance and an eight-point agreement.

Under the terms of this agreement, JUP-Noorani, represented by Gillani as the central vice president, pledges its support to PPP candidates nationwide. Their shared goal is to foster political, social, and economic stability in the country.

Haji Misbahuddin expressed appreciation for the agreement, emphasizing its potential benefits for both PPP and JUP-Noorani.

The alliance signals a united front in pursuit of common objectives, and both parties express optimism about its outcomes in the forthcoming elections.
