Timber worth millions of rupees has been seized

BAHAWALPUR:

The district police arrested two suspected members of a timber robbing gang in the Abbasnagar area of the district.

A spokesman for the Bahawalpur police said a gang involved in felling trees from official forests and roadsides was busted on Tuesday.

“Following a tip-off, a police team from Abbasnagar police station conducted a raid in an area and arrested two members of the gang,” he said. The accused, identified as Aijaz and Sajjad, have been shifted to the police station and timber worth millions of rupees has been seized. A special team has been interrogating the accused.
