Sindh Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar has underlined the enduring significance of the arts in an era often dominated by numbers and data.
He expressed these sentiments on Friday during his address at the Arts Council Academic Convocation-2024 organised by the Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP) Karachi.

He highlighted that the convocation aimed to celebrate the accomplishments of talented graduates from the ACP academies, specialising in music, theatre, dance, fine arts, and textile. “This is a momentous day, not just for the graduates, but for the entire community that supports and values the arts,” he declared.
“These disciplines are the heartbeat of our cultural identity - expressions of the soul, reflections of our rich heritage, and gateways to creativity,” stated the chief minister.
