RAWALPINDI:

Serious inaccuracies have emerged in the lists of government employees nominated for election duties across the Rawalpindi division.

According to sources, the workers are encountering difficulties at the training centre since the scales of employees have been altered in the lists.

In the lists published by the Election Commission of Pakistan for their training on January 26 and 27, the scale of a senior lab assistant has been listed as BPS 18, junior lecture assistant as BPS 18, senior lecture assistant as BPS 18, senior clerk as scale BPS 18, and junior clerk as BPS 13.

Whereas in reality, the scale of junior clerks must be listed as BPS 11, senior clerk as BPS 14, head clerk BPS 16, sand lecture assistant BPS 17.

When the employees arrived at the training centre, the employees of scales 17 and 18 were told to attend the training for the presiding officer and assistant presiding officer.

They took the stand that their scales had been wrongly written in the lists. The employees protested the inaccurate descriptions of their scales in the training centre and the staff demanded the immediate correction of the lists.
