Missing madrassa student rescued

Boy was seen going towards Ghanta Ghar on his own

DIJKOT:

A 14-year-old madrassah student who disappeared five days ago from the Gulberg area, was rescued by police on Friday.

The abducted child did not want to study at the seminary, due to which he ran away from home of his own accord.

Zafar Iqbal, a resident of Chak 109, informed Gulberg Police Station that his 14-year-old nephew, Attaullah, was studying at a madrassah in Jinnah Colony. According to the plaintiff, the boy was kidnapped by unknown persons on the way home from his studies.

After police registered a case against unidentified suspects under section 363 PPC, investigation in-charge at Gulberg Police Station Sub-Inspector Adeel Mustafa checked CCTV feeds from different areas.

The missing boy was seen going towards Ghanta Ghar on his own. After monitoring cameras around the Ghanta Ghar tower for four days, police finally succeeded in finding and retrieving Attaullah. He was taken into custody by police and handed over to his family members.

Sub-Inspector Adeel Mustafa said Attaullah did not want to study in the madrassa, but his family reportedly forced him to continue attending it.
