City’s development projects opened for Japan investors

Pakistan and Japan enjoy strong ties and cooperation in various fields, says Wahab

KARACHI:

The Consul General of Japan  in Karachi Hattori Masaru, accompanied by the Deputy Consul General Nakagawa Yashushi, met Mayor Murtaza Wahab at the KMC head office on Thursday.  

Matters of mutual interest were discussed in the meeting between. The mayor said that Pakistan and Japan enjoy strong ties and cooperation in various fields. Japan’s assistance to Pakistan in industrial sector including development projects is highly commendable.  

He said, “We want to take advantage of Japan’s technological expertise in improving and modernising the city’s infrastructure and for this purpose we will extend full support to Japanese companies coming to invest in Karachi.

The city offers attractive opportunities for foreign investors and the government is taking all possible steps to further promote investment. We seek the cooperation of the Japanese government in projects designed for the improvement and development of Karachi.”

Wahab shared the details with the CG about the ongoing development projects in the city. The consul general said that Karachi is an important city of Pakistan and developing the economic hub of the country is a positive step.
