Counterfeit veterinary drug factory unearthed
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone unearthed a factory engaged in the production of fake and substandard veterinary medicines, leading to the arrest of two individuals involved in the illicit operation.
Operational led by Anti-Corruption Circle Deputy Director Mian Mohammad Saber, a specialised team collaborated with Drug Inspector Rameez Ahmed Khan. Acting on a tip-off, the team intercepted a vehicle in the Johar Town area, revealing a stash of unlicensed and counterfeit veterinary medicines.
During the operation, two suspects, identified as Muhammad Waqar and Muhammad Nauman, were apprehended.

The arrested individuals were found to be responsible for the production of more than 19 types of fake veterinary medicines.
FIA Lahore Zone Director Sarfraz Ahmed Wirk, expressed concern over the expanding reach of counterfeit drugs, now extending to veterinary medicines targeting animals.
He emphasised that the Anti-Corruption Circle, led by Deputy Director Mian Sabir, sealed the factory involved in the manufacturing of fake and substandard veterinary medicines.
