RAWALPINDI:

The initial details of the terrorists killed in Pakistan's retaliatory air strikes on Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) and Baloch Republican Army (BLA) bases in Iran have revealed the involvement of the militants in multiple terror attacks in Balochistan, it emerged on Monday.

On Jan 18, Pakistan carried out successful strikes on the secret hideouts of the BLF and BLA in Iran, resulting in the killing of multiple terrorists.

The slain terrorists include Dosta alias Chairman Zamran, Sahil alias Shafaq, Muhammad Wazir alias Wazo, Asghar alias Bisham, and Bajar alias Soghat.

Investigation revealed that Dosta was a resident of Panjgur district who joined the BLF in 2013 and was a member of the commander Fazal Sher alias Tahir group.

Dosta had attacked a school and a Frontier Corps post in Koprom twice, on Sept 20, 2019, and May 23, 2020.

In addition, along with being involved in drug dealing, looting, and several attacks against law enforcement agencies in the Prom sector, he was also a key character in the mine explosion at Yusuf Post on Sept 4, 2022.

Besides, Dosta also had involvement in the kidnapping of Akhlaq alias Shaukat, son of Kalri Gachek on Jan 19, 2023, who was later killed on March 3, 2023, in the Balgatar area.

Asghar, also a Panjgur district resident, backed the attack on an FC patrolling party in Gavash Chakra Bazar on July 20, 2021.

Later in Feb 2023, Asghar shot and killed Muhammad Ansar at a bus stand in Panchgaur.

A soldier had been martyred on Nov 21, 2023, as a result of firing by Asghar.

Slain terrorist Muhammad Wazir had initially joined the BLA in 2013/14 and the BLF in 2019.

Wazir, who was the brother of BLF terrorist Abid alias Chakar; had participated in several terrorist activities in Panjgur district.

Besides, the slain terrorist Bajar alias Soghat was part of the BLF since 2016 and was also involved in several terrorist attacks on law enforcement agencies in the Prom sector.

Bajar backed the kidnapping of Nazir, son of Bahram, from his residence on March 7, 2023 and his killing on April 8, 2023.

The Pakistan armed forces struck hideouts used by terrorist organisations, the BLA and BLF, inside Iran in an intelligence based operation, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.

The military's media wing elaborated that the "precision strikes" were carried out using armed drones, rockets, loitering munitions and stand-off weapons.

The action was triggered by Iran’s missile and drone strikes inside Pakistan on Tuesday. Iran claimed the strikes were aimed at two “terrorist bases” of Jaish-al Adl, a terrorist group operating from Iran’s Sistan-Baluchistan province.

The military assured that the armed forces “remain in a perpetual state of readiness to ensure the safety of Pakistan citizens against acts of terrorism”.
