PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif will reach Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Mansehra district on Monday (today) and address a public gathering in the constituency of NA-15, from where he is contesting the upcoming elections scheduled to take place on February 8.
The party’s senior vice president and chief organiser, Maryam Nawaz, will also address the rally. The public gathering has been organised by her husband, Capt (retd) Mohammad Safdar, and another party leader, former K-P MPA Sardar Muhammad Yousaf Zaman.
Nawaz will clarify his vision for the development of the country and provision of relief to the inflation-hit people.
Last month, Hajra Sami, the NA-15 Mansehra returning officer, approved the nomination papers of Nawaz by dismissing the objections raised by PTI’s Azam Swati.

The scrutiny process involved arguments from opposition candidates, legal representatives and Barrister Jahangir Khan Jadoon presenting evidence in favour of the PML-N supremo.
Swati argued that the returning officer was not authorised to declare Nawaz eligible for the upcoming elections as he was found dishonest under Article 62(1)(f) of the Constitution for corruption.
The PTI leader further argued that the PML-N chief was also disqualified by a five-member apex court bench for life. He added that no forum could deviate from the decision of the apex court.
Following a thorough review, the returning officer rejected the objections, allowing Nawaz to contest the election from NA-15 Mansehra.
