Injured ‘robber’ arrested during raid

Police arrested an alleged robber after he was injured during a raid while his accomplices managed to escape in Khalabat.

According to the police, several robberies at gunpoint were taking place within the jurisdiction of the Khalabat police station. In response, Haripur DPO Muhammad Umar Khan gave DSP Saddar Iftikhar Ahmed Swati and SHO Khilabat police station orders to find and arrest the accused parties involved in robberies.

An informant told Khalabat police station SHO Siddiq Shah that an accused named Allah Muhammad along with his two accomplices were planning to commit robbery at Padhan Chowk.

After receiving the information, DSP Circle Saddar Iftikhar Ahmed Swati along with the elite force, lady police, and other police personnel carried out a raid after confirming the information. As soon as the accused noticed the police team during the raid, they opened fire. The police took cover and shot their guns in the air to defend themselves. While taking advantage of the darkness, two accused ran away while the third accused was taken into custody.

He was arrested in an injured condition and was transferred to the Haripur Trauma Centre.
