A new bench will now hear former prime minister Imran Khan’s petition against his prison trial in the gift repository and £190 million cases. The bench comprising IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri will take up the petition on Monday, January 22.
Earlier an IHC bench consisting of Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir was hearing the matter. The bench at the last hearing of the case on Thursday issued notices to the respondents and sought replies from them.

The case is, however, listed for hearing before another bench as both Justice Aurangzeb and Justice Tahir are on leave from the next week, according to the court roster.
On January 18, the IHC reserved its verdict on the admissibility of petitions against the jail trial of the PTI founder in the Toshakhana and £190 million NAB references.
