Polls postponed in NA-83, 85 after candidate's death

ECP announced that a revised election schedule would be issued for the constituency in due course

SARGODHA:

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to postpone the general elections in the National Assembly's NA-83 and 85 constituencies in Sargodha following the untimely death of candidate Sadiq Ali.

In an official notification issued by the ECP, it was stated that the election in NA-83 and 85 would be deferred due to the passing of the constituency's candidate.

The notification outlining the postponement was released by the Returning Officer for the constituency, Shoaib Ahmed Niswana.

The ECP announced that a revised election schedule would be issued for the constituency in due course.
The general elections, scheduled to take place nationwide on February 8, encompass three constituencies of the National Assembly in the federal capital, Islamabad, in addition to elections for the national and four provincial assemblies.
