TLP leader urges dialogue to ease political tensions

Rizvi highlights importance of dialogue in resolving conflicts

In a recent statement, Ameer of Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi emphasised the need for a dialogue-based solution to address the current political tensions, warning against the use of undemocratic tactics that may hinder the political process.

Addressing the media, Rizvi expressed concern over the widespread politicization, noting that politics has permeated every street, door, and house.

He asserted that even the common man has rejected the politics of revenge.

Rizvi maintained that no conscious citizen can support extremism, highlighting the importance of dialogue in resolving conflicts.

He took the opportunity to criticise former prime minister Imran Khan, accusing him of pursuing a politics of division and discrimination during his tenure. He pointed out the consequences of unnecessary violence on political workers and stressed that undemocratic methods would not lead to an improvement in the current situation.

Rizvi criticized politicians for prioritising personal ego and party interests over the country’s well-being.

Questioning the motives behind political actions, Rizvi asked, “What is wrong in doing politics in the country’s interest by setting aside personal enmity?” He expressed disappointment in the state of Pakistani politics and accused both Tehreek-e-Insaf and the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) of seeking power without genuine concern for the nation’s welfare.

Rizvi asserted that Tehreek-e-Labaik is gaining support from the people, and he pledged to work towards making Pakistan the envisioned state of Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
