The Rawalpindi Ring Road project would be inaugurated on August 14 this year, Rawalpindi Division Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatta disclosed on Wednesday.
“About 18% of physical work on the Ring Road project has been completed,” he said during his visit to the Ring Road Project Camp Office where he was briefed on the progress of ongoing construction work.
Liaqat said modeling of the traffic network of the Ring Road and Motorway was also in progress, adding the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) would give a plan for plantations on both sides of the Ring Road.
He said the Ring Road project would be completed by July 31 and would be inaugurated on August 14. There would be no compromise on the quality of the construction work, he pledged.
